Protecting our rangelands and pastoralists
Our main goal in spreading awareness is educating the populace about what they can actively do in order to protect the grasslands. The rangelands we currently have are the rangelands that we will depend on decades and centuries in the future. With growing global populations and a subsequent increase in food demand, the importance of pastures in agriculture will only mount. Our team aims to reach as many people as possible to curb the effects of climate change through various channels, including a broadcast, social media posts, a news article and a website.

RANGELANDS AND PASTORALISTS
RANGELANDS MAKE UP TO 50% OF THE EARTHS LAND MASS IN THE UNITED STATES. THESE RANGELANDS MAKE UP A VAST AMOUNT OF LAND AREA IN NEBRASKA, ESPECIALLY THE RURAL PARTS, LIKE BAYARD. 22 MILLIONS ACRES OF RANGELAND CAN BE FOUND IN NEBRASKA. 1 AND 4 JOBS IN THE STATE OF NEBRASKA RELATE TO AGRICULTURE. WITH NEBRASKA BEING ONE OF THE BIGGEST AGRICULTURE INDUSTRIES, RANGELANDS ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT FOR THE WELL-BEING OF NEBRASKA.
